Community

We have been preparing for months for when the time is right. To that end with the very special community of Kyuquot at the forefront of our minds we have co-developed a community protection plan with the Ka;’yu:’k’t’h’/Che:k’tles7et’h’ First Nations (KCFN). By protecting Kyuquot, its members, its values and its heritage, we are protecting our staff, our guests and our collective future.

 

This effort was made possible with the heartful and thoughtful collaboration of KCFN, and our neighboring lodge / tourism providers within our home territories. We want to express our gratitude for the ground-breaking efforts and co-operation of everyone in this regard.

also in addition to Murphy Protocols below, please refer to the code of conduct at Fair Harbour for your arrival/departure consideration as outlined on their site.

Change The Benefit
  • Physical Distancing 2M or more from others outside of your travel pod.
  • A travel pod are people who travelled together, share a room, boat, dine and socialize together
  • A face cover will be worn when these distances can unpredictably not be adhered between travel pods or our crew.
  • Face covers should be handy at all times, around neck ready for use.
  • 6 person maximum table size indoors regardless of size of overall group.  BC Guidelines.
  • outdoors social groups of up to 10 persons are permitted together (BC Guidelines)
Protecting each other from droplets that can carry Covid-19. Physical distancing is a proven strategy to prevent the spread of the illness.
Meal Delivery Service to your travel pod at your cabin for all lodge meals. (This may change in July...TBA) Removed the risks associated with a buffet
Eliminated the dining crowd possibilities
Disposable containers and cutlery for cabin service.

 Eliminates potential cross contamination from dishes and dish washing. Protects you and our crew.
Room bedroom cleaning only after checkout No daily maid service reduces interaction of room to room movement. Your room, is your safe room!
PHO Hotel Industry Standards Room Clean before your check in New standards designed and approved by the Provincial Health Office.
Your travel pod will fish with the same guide the entire time. Reduces the interaction / touch points by 300% (we normal rotate guides 4 times over the trip.
More tables of smaller sizes spaced distantly throughout the property decks and docks More spaces for your smiling faces. 
Hand Washing Station on the dock with hot water and Bulk hand sanitizer New addition to help you keep your hands clean and sanitized
Hand Sanitizer Stations throughout the property Its always handy!
  • Face covers required aboard Vessel when loading or unloading at the docks and close to staff and maximizing distance whenever possible
Everyone is protected from each others most talking at times when we may be closer than 2M apart
New Fair Harbour loading / unloading protocols - face covers and queued loading Reduces interaction with locals, Fair Harbour Staff and other lodge guests.
