Stamp River Salmon Fishing Report Sept 27 2016

Sept 27 2016

Quality Fish still entering System Daily

Overview:

Consistent weather conditions and normal flows of river water continue to pull quality Chinook and Coho into the Stamp River system.

Anglers have been have some excellent experiences with multiple hook ups daily and lots of opportunities.  Spin fishing, Fly Fishing and fishing with bait (in those areas open to bait) have all had there successes. This years regulation set provide for the full range of styles of fishing so a great way to introduce youth to fishing with the areas open to bait fishing.

Regulations:

The daily limit is 4 salmon per day of which:

  • Two (2) may be Chinook of which only one (1) may be greater than 77 cm. in length, and
  • Two (2) may be coho, marked or unmarked.
